LIVE: Best Black Friday TV deals — $1000 off OLED TV and more

The Black Friday deals are already here, making it a great time to buy a new TV even though the main day is still some weeks away. 

For example, among the top TV deals available so far are the 48-inch LG OLED TV that’s just $569 at Best Buy (opens in new tab) and 48-inch Sony A9S Master Series OLED TV that’s only $799 @ Best Buy (opens in new tab), as well as a 24-inch Insignia Fire TV that’s on sale for $79 at Amazon (opens in new tab).

In addition to those big drops, we’ve also seen some great discounts on our favorite TVs, too. The LG C2 OLED is on sale already for $1,296 at Amazon (opens in new tab) and the Sony A95K QD-OLED is already $1,000 off its MSRP at Amazon (opens in new tab). It’s hard to say if those will see bigger price drops later this month, so buying one early isn’t a bad decision. 

We’re continuously monitoring retailers’ websites to find new TV deals as they pop up, and we’ll be posting our picks of the best deals below.

Early Black Friday TV deals: top deals

Sony Bravia X90K

• Sony 65″ Bravia X90K: $1,499 $998 @ Amazon (opens in new tab)

This deal, which takes 33% off the regular price, is one of the biggest discounts currently available on Amazon for a Sony TV. While not OLED, this set has full-array LED backlighting, which will deliver better contrast throughout the picture. It also has some features tailored for the PS5, including a 120Hz refresh rate, 8.5 millisecond response time, Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Switch. It has four HDMI ports (including HDMI 2.1), and comes with the Google TV platform for streaming content.

LG B2 OLED TV

While I’m on the subject of huge OLED TVs like the LG G2 OLED deal posted below, check out this deal on the LG B2 OLED that’s just under two grand at Amazon. This is its lowest price in the last 30 days, and likely to be the final Black Friday price.

The B2 OLED comes with a 120Hz panel just like the C2 OLED and two HDMI 2.1 ports. It’s got WebOS 22 just like all the other OLEDs and great contrast. The only drawback of this model is that it uses the a7 Gen5 AI Processor 4K instead of the a9, and that’s not a huge deal all things considered.

If you want a big C2 or G2 OLED but don’t want to pay big C2 or G2 OLED prices, the 77-inch B2 is a great compromise.

The 83-inch LG G2 OLED would’ve run you about $6,500 if you bought it when it first came out a few months ago. But now, it’s down to just $4,800 after a massive $1,700 early Black Friday discount on Amazon.

Why shell out for this OLED? Well, for one, it’s HUGE. An 83-inch screen would rival some projector screens and this would have much better contrast and black levels. For another, it’s meant to be mounted flush to the wall, so it will seamlessly blend in with your home décor – and that’s crucial if it’s going to be living in your home with you for the next decade. Lastly, it’s equipped with HDMI 2.1 ports for 4K@120Hz gameplay, which is great for anyone who plans on connecting a console or a cutting-edge 4K Blu-ray player.

Typically, we wouldn’t recommend something so expensive, but at a $1,700 price cut, it feels like it’s actually somewhat within reach. 

Samsung - 75

In case you missed it, this is one of the best big-screen Black Friday TV deals we’ve seen. Right now you can get the Samsung 75-inch TU690T for just $579 at Best Buy (opens in new tab), which is $270 off the regular retail price.

This large 4K panel offers UHD upscaling capability and HDR 10+ support for enjoying a wide spectrum of colors and better details in darker scenes. Samsung’s Tizen OS makes it easy to enjoy all the best streaming services. And you get Alexa and Google Assistant support built in, plus Apple AirPlay support. 

The 60Hz refresh rate isn’t the best for gamers, and we wish there were more than 2 HDMI ports, but overall this is a big screen at an unbeatable price. 

TCL 4 Series 4K TV Black Friday deal

Ah, the TCL 4-Series. This one is a popular sale TV because it drops down to or below $200 each time it goes on sale. For a 43-inch TV, that’s a great price.

In terms of specs, the 4-Series is a solid 4K TV. It does 4K HDR and comes with Roku’s smart platform built in. That means it can access every major streaming service, and it’s really intuitive to get from one to another.

The only reason it doesn’t rank higher with reviewers is that it’s only a 60Hz TV and it has a lower peak brightness than we’d like. That doesn’t make it bad, it just makes it a better fit for less nit-picky TV watchers.

Looking for a smaller TV for an extra bedroom or a kids room? Check out the deal that’s going on for the TCL 3-Series Android TV at Best Buy.

For $131 you’re getting a 32-inch smart TV that will have access to Netflix and Netflix Kids shows, plus YouTube. This TV should be fairly easy for kids older than five to navigate, plus you can put parental controls on there. 

At this price, you won’t worry about it accidentally breaking and they’ll love having something to watch before bed every night.

LG UP7050 4K TV

  • LG 65″ UP7050 Series LED 4K Smart TV: $398 @ Walmart (opens in new tab)

Another door buster has popped up today at Walmart, this time for a sub-$400 65-inch TV from LG. It’s not an OLED, but it is a 4K smart TV with webOS built-in.

Few things to note about the specs here. The first is that this is a 60Hz TV, so it’s probably not a great companion for a PS5 or Xbox Series X, but it could work for folks who are still playing games on Xbox One and PS4. The better news here, however, is that it supports an LG feature called Active HDR that can make non-HDR content look like it has HDR meta-data with better contrast and color vibrancy. 

At this price, this is a great offer and according to Walmart, it’s selling about 1,000 of them per day ahead of Black Friday.

LG C2 OLED TV with deal tag

Sorry if we’re starting to sound like a broken record, but the LG C2 OLED is still our best TV and it’s still at its lowest ever price. That’s why we are so excited about this early Black Friday sale.

While we wish this TV was as bright as the premium LG G2 OLED, the C2 is still incredibly bright for an OLED panel (and the C2 is much more affordable.) Plus, if you want to use your TV for next-gen gaming, the LG C2 OLED is also the best TV you can get. That’s because of its HDMI 2.1 support, 120Hz refresh rate, and access to LG’s Game Optimizer menu.

Amazon Omni QLED

This brand-new Fire TV seems to be Amazon’s answer to the Samsung The Frame TV. Like The Frame, the Omni Series QLED doubles as both a TV and a dynamic digital art display.

The Omni Series QLED has a couple of marks in its favor over The Frame, though. For one, it’s much less expensive. In addition to that, Samsung charges a subscription fee to access its library of digital art to view on The Frame, but Amazon offers a library of 1,500 images without charging a subscription fee.

If all this sounds great to you, good news! Amazon has slashed $200 off the 65″ Omni Series QLED 4K TV ahead of Black Friday.

Here’s an odd one, it’s a Sony A80J OLED TV – the same one we mentioned earlier this week on sale at Best Buy for $1,299 – now available at Amazon through a third-party vendor for $1,097. That price not only includes the TV, but it comes with a soundbar, subwoofer and mounting bracket for the screen.

I’m always personally leery of third-party vendors on Amazon, but this one has a pretty high rating so I’m relatively confident in the legitimacy of this deal.

LG 70-inch UP7070 4K UHD LED TV deal

Looking for something big and cheap? The LG 70-inch UP7070 4K UHD smart TV gives you a decent picture, HDR support and LG’s webOS smart TV system all at a reasonable price. Add in that it’s absolutely massive at 70-inches, and you’ve got a great Black Friday TV deal.

While it’s not one of LG’s top-tier OLED sets, thanks to the television’s 4K resolution and strong picture performance, you can enjoy bright colors, high contrast, and detail while watching TV shows and movies or playing the latest games. Plus, this television has HDR10 and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) support.

Insignia 70

One of our favorite cheap TV deals is still live — an $80 discount on the Insignia F30 Series 4K TV. This is about as cheap as 4K TVs get.

Don’t worry, just because it’s inexpensive, that doesn’t mean it’s not a great TV. The F30 Series TV comes with HDR10 support, DTS Studio sound, and a voice remote with Alexa built-in. You’ll be able to access all the best streaming apps, like Apple TV+, Disney+, Hulu, and Netflix.

LG G2 OLED

If you want the best and brightest OLED TV, that would be the LG G2 OLED. Thanks to LG’s first-class OLED tech, the LG G2 OLED is super bright and has incredible picture quality. This TV also boasts AI-boosted sound quality and and 4 HDMI 2.1 points.

LG’s most premium OLED set is pricey, but hey, that’s what Black Friday deals are for! Amazon has slashed more than $800 off the 65″ LG G2 OLED, bringing it to its lowest price ever.

Plenty of TVs are on sale right now, but what are the best budget TVs? We like the TCL 5-Series Roku TV, which provides excellent performance at a great price.

Saying that goes double now that it’s on sale. The 55″ TCL 5-Series Roku TV has hit its lowest price ever (it’s actually the same price as the 50″ model right now, so you can get a bigger screen without spending any extra.)

We’ll also shout out the Roku TV operating system — it’s one of our favorites due to its good organisation and ease of use.

Samsung QN90A QLED TV

The Samsung QN90A Neo QLED is high on our list of the best TVs, and our top choice for an LED. It has a stunning design, and even comes with a solar-chargeable remote. Plus, since this is a QLED model as opposed to OLED, you get to take advantage of incredible brightness and minimal glare.

Sony X80K

Finding a solid 65-inch TV can be tough, but the Sony X80K fits the bill for a killer mid-range model. Equipped with the X1 Processor and TRILUMINOS Pro display, the X80K should deliver a bright, colorful and clear picture that puts older models to shame.

With close to 600 reviews and a 4.5 rating, this 2022 model has the mettle to stand up to other great mid-rangers like the TCL 6-Series and Vizio M-Series Quantum, but comes with Google TV built-in to help it stand apart from the competition.

If you’re in the market for a new 2022 mid-range model, the Sony X80K is a great option.

Samsung S95B OLED TV deal

Looking to make the jump to a QD-OLED screen? Amazon has a great deal on the Samsung S95B OLED, Samsung’s first QD-OLED TV.

Right now you can get $1,100 off the Samsung S95B on Amazon (opens in new tab)(opens in new tab) for the 65-inch version of the QD-OLED, bringing it down from $2,997 to $1,897. For a TV that’s only six months old, that’s a great price — and the lowest we’ve yet to see according to the shopper-savvy website CamelCamelCamel (opens in new tab)(opens in new tab).

The Samsung S95B is currently holding a spot on our list of the best TVs of 2022 as well as the best OLED TVs because of its innovative new QD-OLED panel.

Here’s one TV that you can get without breaking the bank, but also not skimping on some smart features or size, as this is a 55-inch screen powered by Roku TV. 

In fact, the Onn 43-inch 4K Roku TV is one of the cheapest 4K TVs you can buy. It features HDR10 support, Dolby Audio, Apple AirPlay/HomeKit/Hey Google compatibility, and a voice remote. Plus, it uses Roku’s excellent software to bring you hundreds of streaming apps like Hulu, Netflix, Apple TV, and more.

Vizio OLED TV deal

You can get a large 65-inch Vizio OLED TV for just $1,199 at Best Buy (opens in new tab) today. Shaving off a cool $600 form its original price. And as it’s got a suite of gaming features it makes it great for the latest games like God of War Ragnarök; check out why I think Ragnarök makes a compelling case to get an OLED TV.

Ready to buy a big big-screen TV? Check out the deal happening at Best Buy for the 75-inch Samsung TU690 that’s on sale for just $579. That’s a sizable $270 off its previous listing price of $849. It’s one of the best 75” TV deals you can buy right now, and potentially one of the best Best Buy Black Friday deals in general. 

Because the price can be pretty blinding compared to the other TVs I’ve mentioned so far, it’s important to note that it is an entry-level model. So while it doesn’t offer premium features like a QLED or OLED panel, it does all the basics and does them very well. For example, the refresh rate clocks in at 60Hz, which does make it less than ideal for high-framerate gaming, but is more than acceptable for binge-watching can’t-miss TV shows and blockbuster movies. 

Alternatively, if you’re looking for a more premium set, Best Buy has also slashed $600 off a 65-inch OLED TV, or you can instead opt for the innovative Samsung The Frame TV that also functions as an artwork display. It’s just dropped to a lowest ever price at Amazon-owned Woot.

The Sony A80K OLED TV is a bit more expensive than some of the models I’ve mentioned already, but that’s because it’s definitely a premium OLED TV rather than a mid-range model.

What makes this one so premium? Well, it has Sony’s new Cognitive XR Processor on board for better upscaling and motion smoothing. Add that to Sony’s 2022 OLED TV panel that offers better brightness and off-axis viewing and you’ve got the recipe for one of the best OLED TVs of 2022.

Amazon Fire TV 50

As you’d expect, Amazon has lots of early Black Friday deals, including some great discounts on its own products like the Omni Fire TV, which is $110 off at Amazon (opens in new tab) currently, bringing the cost down to $399 on this 4K set.

That means for less than $400, you can get a great hands-free Alexa experience, as we mentioned in our Amazon Fire TV Omni Series review. Even better, your TV can learn new Alexa skills as they become available, and this TV offers HDR10 support.

Walmart’s early Back Friday deals kicked off on Monday, and that makes it a great place to visit in order to secure a discount TV. For example, you can get a large 75-inch 4K TV for under $500. It’s been going in and out of stock, however, so keep checking if it says it’s not available.

This 75-inch Hisense 4K TV is on sale for just $448. It runs Roku TV OS for easy access to all your favorite streaming services. Plus, this set supports HDR, voice control via Google Assistant or Alexa and a dedicated Game Mode for reduced input lag when playing video games.

This year it’s all about OLED TVs for Black Friday TV deals, and there’s almost none better than one of the best TVs hitting its lowest price ever: The LG C2 OLED combines incredible performance and visuals with a stylish premium design. 

If that wasn’t good enough for you, this TV is excellent for gamers too, thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 support. The 55″ LG C2 OLED is $1,296 at Amazon (opens in new tab) right now, its lowest price ever.

Sony A9S

If you’re on a budget, it follows that you can save by shopping older TVs. The 48″ Sony Bravia A9S released in 2021, and Best Buy has slashed $200 off its usual price ahead of Black Friday this year. (We saw it for $898 at Walmart earlier this week, but now it’s fallen to an even lower price.)

This TV gets you incredible picture quality in a compact, stylish package. At this size, it’s perfect for smaller rooms and gaming setups. Google Assistant and Chromecast are built into the Sony Bravia A9S, and it also has support for HDR and Dolby Vision.

Throughout last week, the best-selling deal according to our data was the LG A2 OLED that’s available for $569 at Best Buy (opens in new tab) and it’s easy to see why.

For around the price of a new game console, you’re getting a mid-size OLED TV with perfect black levels and great contrast, plus LG’s webOS smart TV platform. For the price, you can’t do much better.

Of course, if you’re looking for even better performance, you can consider the LG B2 and C2 OLED that offer a 120Hz refresh rate and higher peak brightness, however you’d be paying almost double to get one of those models at this size. 

It’s a solid pick at the 48-inch screen size.
