So it was a particular delight to see Chalamet arrive today for a photocall ahead of the film’s Milan premiere wearing another look that paid homage to the bloodthirsty nature of his latest project—and once again turning to Vivienne Westwood to do so. In a fuzzy gray ombré sweater covered with heart motifs and the brand’s signature orb logo—paired with black leather trousers and matching boots—Chalamet’s look was perfectly vampiric. If the look brings back memories of the mid-noughties emo movement, that’s probably intentional. But the real star piece was a choker with a very Vivienne Westwood—and Bones and All-appropriate—twist, featuring carefully placed bones to hold the strings of glistening pearls together.

And later in the evening, Chalamet switched up his look once again, arriving at the film’s Italian premiere wearing a sleeveless striped top with a swishy bib, leather trousers once again, and a pair of sleek patent leather boots with a golden buckle detail. (Of course, Chalamet also had plenty of jewelry to go with it, wearing an array of glittering diamond and silver bracelets and rings by Cartier.) Chalamet might be bringing back emo style—and making the case for maximalist men’s jewelry along the way—but he’s doing so with a refined, high fashion twist. Just call is cannibal couture.
